About Us
Our owner, Kris Otto, began working in the HVAC industry in 1999. During his apprenticeship, Kris gained experience in industrial, commercial and residential HVAC, including residential furnace replacements, AC installs and service work. Kris saw a need in the industry for a company focused on quality workmanship and great customer service. This well rounded work experience gave him the knowledge needed to branch off on his own.

Kris and his wife Journie incorporated Otto Heating & Cooling Ltd in March of 2007. They hit the ground running the following June. The company was initially working out of the garage and one bedroom in their home. The installations for our clients were done by just Kris for the first year of business out of his 2006 GMC van.
Steady Growth and New Relationships
Slowly and steadily relationships were built with new clients and new contractors. Word of mouth spread. More work began coming to Otto Heating & Cooling Ltd. This led to a need for growth. New employees were added and more vehicles purchased.
The biggest turning point for Otto Heating & Cooling Ltd was in the fall of 2012. At this time, we were awarded multifamily community contracts from two separate residential builders as well as two large commercial contracts. This influx of work lead to a need for immediate growth bumping our labour force up to 10 men.
Our crew size has fluctuated up and down slightly from year to year but have kept the number between 10-15. We have many long term employees and we greatly value their loyalty, hard work and dedication to quality and our company. On staff we now have gasfitters, sheet metal mechanics and refrigeration mechanics; journeymen and apprentices. This expertise enables us to be able to care for a wide variety of tasks making us a very well rounded group able to help customers of all different sizes.

Quality service and installs are always in the forefront at our company meetings and this attitude is one of the reasons our company has grown. Referrals are what keep our company running!
