- Check your basement
Check for any damage that could have occurred during the cold winter months like cracks, leaks or pests. Inspect your sump pump and make sure it is working properly.
- Look for any signs of water damage or mold
Check all windows, doors, caulking or other areas where water damage can occur. Sealants should be checked regularly and repaired immediately with the proper type.
- Test smoke alarms
Make sure all smoke alarms are working properly and change the batteries. This is also a good time to check your fire extinguisher to ensure it is in working condition.
- Clean out dryer vent pipes and have your ducts cleaned
Lint and debris build up in your dryer vent can not only reduce air flow but also be a fire hazard if not cleaned. Inspect and clean your dryer vent regularly. Duct cleaning can help improve your indoor air quality and is recommended to do every 3-5 years or if you have recently moved into a property. We can provide duct cleaning whether you live in a house or high-rise building.
