Humidity Revisited
Well, it’s that time of year, again. We have discussed humidity on our blog before.
But wait there's more!
Humidification is an important aspect of our HVAC system and should be considered to maintain healthy and comfortable indoor air quality. Most likely, in Edmonton, we experience dryness.
Do any of these questions apply to you or your home:
Have you ever been on beach in a tropical country? 30*C there feels much warmer than 30*C here.
Why?
This is because our bodies can’t perspire as well, with humid air. Of course, in such a temperature, we feel muggy and sweaty. Though, hopefully you get the idea. If our air is humidified, we can feel warmer at a lower temperature.
If your humidity is too high, that’s not good either. Excess humidity can cause mold and mildew growth. Some respiratory issues, may be worsened by too much humidity. Yes, too much humidity can negatively affect our health. Obviously, nobody wants that! Is your home damp? Do you have condensation on your windows? One of these dehumidification solutions will work for you. |

Too much humidity isn’t good, either! Optimal indoor humidity is between 30% - 60% How does your home measure up? |
