Two stages of heat for improved comfort.
A two stage furnace has a two stage gas valve that will start heating at 60% – the first stage, to keep you warm.
If needed, the furnace will open the gas valve to 100% – the second stage, to satisfy the call for heat. This means you save on gas and energy. Most calls are satisfied in the first stage.
